Packing my hospital bag for the first time was overwhelming to say the least. Here are the products I packed and USED during my hospital stay when I had Phoenix. I hope it helps your hospital bag packing feel less overwhelming <3
I one hundred percent overpacked for the hospital because even though I had heard birth stories etc, I still didn’t know what to expect with having a baby. I did, however, know that I would want to feel as luxurious as possible while at the hospital aka I was going to do my darndest to turn that hospital room into the Four Seasons.
In order to do that, I packed a spray that smudges the room without a flame to create the best energy possible for baby’s arrival and well – my pushing him out. I packed my favorite essential oil: Peace and Calm by Young Living. I always use this oil during Reiki sessions and it makes me feel so peaceful. I knew I needed this handy during birth.
Additionally, I packed fancy body wash. I brought the same ones we had at our baby moon at the Surfside Four Seasons and it was one of the best ideas I had for the hospital. After I had Phoenix and had my first shower, it was so nice to smell that same scent to take me back to such a luxurious place. It’s like I ALMOST forgot I was in the hospital after using it in the hospital shower.
Since we are on the topic of fancy, I will also tell you that I packed two pairs of pajamas. Fancy ones and not so fancy ones. I knew my undercarriage would be in an interesting state and I didn’t want to ruin the fancy ones but I wanted to have them for photos and well, I just wanted to have them. I also brought a Target button down night gown that my friend Kaytee gave me. It was SO soft and perfect to have in addition to my Sleeper pajamas. I’ve linked both in this post for you!
For baby Phoenix, I packed a couple of outfits that were newborn size and stuck to the theme of black and white. I love the Nordstrom brand baby clothes and Rebecca had given me the cutest button down outfits for him from there! I also brought my magic baby balm by Earth Mama that is the only diaper rash “stuff” I use on Phoenix. It is a miracle worker and so soothing for baby bums! On top of that, I also had the Nuna carseat – as you know from this post.
I have linked everything I mentioned in this post for you guys below:
I hope this post helps you navigate packing your hospital bag in a fun and easy way!
