Cardigans & Pullover Sweaters, Knee High Boots & Combat Boots.
A Blonde & a Brunette.
As you guys know, Catherine and I have a tendency to show up “matching” or rather, more accurately, coordinating, whenever we get together to shoot. We certainly each have our own styles but generally agree on our aesthetic { black & white, neutral, with a certain je ne sais quoi flair }.
In this instance, when we got together last week to shoot some fall content, we both showed up with looks featuring our favorite pieces for fall : BLACK SWEATERS. Cath’s go-to has been this ASOS cardigan, and unless you have been hiding under a rock, you guys know I’m obsessed with this Urban Outfitters oversized pullover. { both under $50! } We have been lucky enough to have “fall” here in Virginia, which can be a true toss up. Some years, I swear we skip right over the season. But luckily, we have had the perfect sweater weather and these pieces are on repeat each week.
Another thing you guys know we love is our boot collections. We wear boots year round, no exceptions. While Catherine tends to favor tall boots, I love my combat boots. This probably has something to do with the fact that I am all legs & Catherine is all torso (something we laugh about on a daily basis) and we have figured out that these styles are better for each of us respectively. Catherine recently ordered the black version of her favorite white boots from the summer & I am still wearing my white Marc Fisher pair that they sent me last year! Also in rotation are the snake print pair that make a serious statement.
Okay so maybe the title of this was misleading as cardigans and pullovers aren’t exactly opposites, but I thought it sounded catchy, ok?
We’re savoring these beautiful fall days, where the weather is perfect for us to wear our bag lady looks & sometimes we don’t even mind a little bit of rain. It gives us permission to stay inside to read and write, which is always welcome!
PS. How amazing does Catherine look at 5+ months pregnant? INSANE.
