In September 2019, John and I traveled to Philadelphia for the Rock n Roll Half Marathon – a warm up for John for the New York Marathon! It had been a while since we had both been to Philly – 5 years, I think – and we were excited to go back. I saw that the new Four Seasons Hotel in the Comcast Center had opened a few days before, and as a treat to Johnny, I decided to book one night at the luxury hotel. We have had so many great Four Seasons experiences and were excited to check out the new property. To say it was stunning is a gross understatement.
To get to the hotel, you enter through the lobby of the new Comcast Center and take an elevator up 60 floors. YES, 60 floors. From the grandiose 60th floor lobby you have a 360 degree view of the city and beyond. I have never seen anything like it! There is an excellent lobby bar and restaurant on the 60th floor, which has incidentally become the new hot spot in town. You don’t have to be staying at the hotel to grab a drink above Philadelphia and experience the view for yourself.
From the 60th floor, you take the elevator down to your rooms, which are located on the 50s. We had a simple room, but even simple at this hotel is unbelievable. Floor to ceiling windows make up one of the walls of the room, giving you a unique view of the city! Upon arrival, the FS team sent up famous Philadelphia soft pretzels that we devoured within seconds. Have I mentioned how amazing the service is? Our room was cozy and the perfect place for John to rest up to run a half marathon the next day! We woke up bright and early on race morning, and as John made his way to the starting line, I caught the sunrise over the city before I hit the streets to watch him run.
~ POOL & SPA ~
TALK ABOUT MAGICAL!
Aside from its grandiose height, the pool and spa at the Four Seasons Philadelphia truly sets it apart from other luxury hotels and properties. An oasis located on the 57th floor, the spa and fitness center offer the perfect escape during your stay. The infinity pool also provides a most magical of the city. The pool is open to all hotel guests, and no spa treatment is required (but highly recommend!) John and I both got pedicures that were divine. As you can imagine, John desperately needed one after all of his marathon training!
Crystals were built into the walls of the spa and most spa treatments, including the deluxe pedicure that I got, utilize crystals in some aspect. You KNOW I love this and I cannot wait to take Catherine back to experience it herself after the baby comes! Everything about our spa experience was top notch, and next time I gotta get one of those crystal massages and spend more time in the relaxation lounge.
If you are looking for a top-notch luxury hotel experience, I highly recommend Four Seasons Philadelphia. Whether you’ve already got a trip planned there and decide to stay at FS or choose it as a destination, I just know you’ll love it as much as we did. See my IGTV & highlights for some bts video of our stay that shows you even more than these photos!
Thanks to Four Seasons Philadelphia for partnering with us on our spa experience!
