When anyone asks me how our baby moon was, I am at a loss for words in the best way. All it takes is a quick glance at photos of the Four Seasons Surf Club property, just North of Miami Beach, to see how beautiful this destination is. From the design choices of the iconic Joseph Dirand – adding his book to my list of coffee table books for our new house!– to the history of The Surf Club (it was a playground for the rich and famous in the 1930s), this hotel oozes beauty at every turn. True life: every square inch is photogenic – like, hard to not have my phone out every second photogenic.I could go on and on and on about the beauty of the Four Seasons Surf Club but our baby moon was amazing for more reasons than just that.
For starters, the staff was incredible. I say this in every review of a Four Seasons Hotel, but, when you check in to The Surf Club – the staff becomes your best friend. If you are an introvert like myself, this may sound overwhelming, but somehow they have mastered the art of being your best friend too. By the pool, the staff would reveal their favorite off the menu mock-tail recipes for this momma-to-be and throughout the hotel, someone was always congratulating us on this new chapter. This post is not sponsored by the way.
There are a couple of things that I recommend you do if you are planning a trip to the Four Seasons Surf Club. For one, dine at Le Sirenuse. This is a waterfront restaurant experience that is unforgettableand a second location to their other restaurant in Positano, Italy. It is located in what used to be 1930s Surf Club’s ballroom and I swear you can feel the energy and history of those iconic, swanky parties. The fare is upscale mediterranean with an amazing wine and champagne list. They have Cristal by the glass and I am pretty sure 3 waiters per table. Our meal at Le Sirenuse was a dream and tbh, I felt like a queen while eating there.
Next – GO TO THE SPA! Don’t get me started on the full body prenatal massage. HOLY MOLY! This massage was life changing. The masseuse was a true talent and I walked out of this massage feeling like a whole new person. She even gave me life advice I NEEDED to hear, just by how my energy was during the massage. You guys know I eat that kind of thing up and, sheesh, I was completely mind blow. More on that in another post… but if you go to the Surf Club, UTILIZE the spa. It is next level in every way.
The third thing I recommend you do is wake up early and go to the beach. I did this one morning while we were there and it was such a beautiful way to start the day at The Surf Club. There were several people on the beach meditating, which I absolutely loved, and others getting their morning workout in like I expected. I watched the sun come up as I did my walking meditation guided by Dr. Joe Dispenzaand it was so beautiful!
But as they say – happy mama equals happy baby and I am sure baby S enjoyed his first trip to the Surf Club as much as Kev and I did. I am so so grateful for my husband surprising me with this trip for our little family before our next chapter begins. I can’t recommend visiting the Four Seasons Surf Club in North Miami enough!
