Wardrobe Staple: The White Blazer

Catherine has been the blazer queen as long as I can remember! I took a trip down our archives and found some of my favorite blazer looks from her that I liked at the end of this post. It was so fun to see the fun looks over the years and see how some of her style has changed and some has remained true!

A blazer is a perfect piece for layering in the Spring and Fall. It can be the icing on the cake of a fabulous outfit and take a simple outfit from *blah* to *ta-da* !! I added a white blazer to my closet when my friend Nena did a collaboration with Petal & Pup and I have to say it has become one of my most worn pieces.

Everyone talks about having the perfect black blazer, but I honestly think a white blazer is just as much a wardrobe staple! The white adds extra dimension and we think you can wear the white blazer year round. I have rounded up some of my favorite white blazer outfits on us and you’ll find a bunch of white blazers linked below!

The perfect “third piece” to a spring or fall outfit! With jeans and a tee. With heels or boots. We love this combo.

Have a black tie event or gala to go to in the winter time? Ditch your coat and wear a chic white blazer over it instead.

Another recent Cathclaire favorite is the long denim skirt! I love how shes rocking this look.

I’m more of a mini dress gal myself, and love the contrast of the oversized white blazer with the black dress.

2 Amazon Sets You’ll Want In Your Closet

Sets! Sets! I love sets!

They just make getting dressed too easy. Plus, ya know, they are pretty fairly priced!

I have had some bad experiences buying from Amazon recently – even after reading reviews! So whenever I find something I really like from Amazon, I like to share it with you guys.

Enter: two chic, comfy sets for cooler months.

This style black set is a classic that has been floating around “going viral” for a couple of years. However, I have tried to buy this style set and been the material was notttttt comfy. I think I have returned 3 or 4 different ones! SO, if you’re looking for a set that can be dressed up or down, worn out or in, THIS is the one you’re looking for.

Now for the coziest, sweetest little sweater set!

I am usually one for pants over skirts any day, but there is something about this skirt set that caught my eye. And I just love how it looks IRL, too! It would be perfect for work and can seamlessly transition to drinks and dinner with a little accessorizing.

I have also been wearing the sweater on its own on the reg. It’s a true classic style that goes with everything! I even wore it on New Years Eve with some fun silver metallic pants. (See the Reel here!)

Cute & Cozy Little Black Dresses for Winter

I have been on a huge sweatsuit (particularly Abercrombie sweat pants and sweatshirt) kick lately, which you know if you follow me on instagram. This winter I am ALL about comfort, but unfortunately my all black & all grey sweatsuits are not appropriate attire for all occasions, lol. SO, when I was browsing ASOS, looking for some new pieces to wear around the holidays, I wanted something that was appropriate to wear from girls nights at Quirk to cold weekends that was also comfortable. I knew immediately when I saw this mini smock black dress that it was the perfect piece.

the newest brand you need to try: NEIWAI for activewear, loungewear and intimates.

We recently hit the court at Keswick Hall with Dr. Scholls and for the shoot, Catherine and I wanted to get some new stuff. Like, new new new. Something we hadn’t tried before! So we reached out to some friends who introduced us to NEIWAI. And wow, what a great brand. I loooooove discovering new brands. It feels like I am breathing new life into my wardrobe and adding new options to get dressed each day makes the days a little more exciting. Let’s be real, getting dressed isn’t always fun when you are rushing around with a one year old in the morning!

So new things are just that much more exciting!

ANYWAYS, a little more about NEIWAI. Think comfortable, quality pieces you want to LIVE IN that are aesthetic to boot. Basically the dream right? They have fantastic activewear, loungewear and intimates. And when I say their underwear is amazing, that is an understatement. It’s called Barely Zero for a reason. And the activewear is buttery soft. Yep, I said buttery soft. It is comparable in price to lululemon, athleta etc and I think fits even better and is more comfortable. AND THE PAJAMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had a sleepover at Keswick and got to snap a few photos in our pajamas and I am purely obsessed with the photos. And the pajamas! I am wearing the Cafe Print Pajamas Shirt & Shorts and I have actually also been wearing the set out of the house, too. It is so chic. Catherine is wearing the Flower Print Classic Embroidered Pajama Top & Pants (selling fast!) and I love how the two sets look together!

3 Amazon Outfits Under $40

3 Amazon outfits perfect for summer and the transition into fall.

Let’s be real, it can be hard to know what you’re getting from Amazon. Like, are those stock photos just photoshopped with the different colors (yes). SO, I have done some work for you and have found 3 really great pieces to get for your summer into fall transition. All 3 are comfy, lightweight, and can be layered! They would each be perfect from the hot weather, but also ideal for the transition into fall in the next couple of months.

Caracilia Short Overalls – These are my favorite amazon purchase maybe ever. They are SO CUTE. Lightweight, breathable, perfect for layering going into fall! Of course, they come in a bunch of colors. Not to mention they are super affordable and have total Free People vibes. They go great with my also-bought-on-amazon Cowboy boots.

Zeagoo Matching Short Set – This is the perfect *reach for everyday* outfit. I love a matching set because it does all the work for you. Because it has been really hot, I have been layering a tank top underneath, but moving into fall the 3/4 shirt is a perfect top. Comes in lots of colors, obvi! Might have to grab another color moving into fall. It is also nursing friendly with the button down top!

Zeagoo Shirt Dress with Belt (and pockets!) — IMO, every dress should have pockets. It seems insane not to! Especially as a mom. I need to have a pocket for pacifier, phone, etc. because I definitely don’t have a spare hand! This shirt dress is great for everything from errands to girls night and can be dressed up or down and take you from day to night! Also nursing friendly.

AMAZON FINDS FOR SPRING

As we all know, shopping on Amazon for clothes can be a doozy. So, I like to keep you guys updated periodically on my recent Amazon finds and purchases that I think are worth buying! I have a few new favorites that I think you guys will like too. These are great additions to your closet for spring and summer, trust me. And of course, none of them will break the bank. Blair Eadie’s Atlantic- Pacific x LAKE Collection

The most maximalist pajama collab that LAKE has done since we have been partners.

When we got the email that LAKE was partnering with Blair Eadie for an Atlantic-Pacific x LAKE Collection, we were thrilled. We immediately texted each other to say how stoked we were to see the designs. As LAKE partners, we get to choose a few pieces to try from each collection and choosing which ones we wanted for this was SO hard. I swear, we both stared at the line sheet for hours trying to decide.

It’s just that good.

We were both immediately drawn to the rainbow pieces! Cath decided on the pajama set and I went for the robe. They are like rays of sunshine in our closets (and drawers). We chose the poplin pj sets this time, but of course they have the classic PIMA Cotton pajamas in a special Atlantic-Pacific color combo as well.

We were so excited to bring our pjs with us to our recent trip to Primland’s Auberge Resort and snapped some pix in our cottage. Stay tuned for more photos and video from the trip, it was a good one and the pajamas really brought up the morning vibes.

As always, we only share things here that we REALLY love. So trust us when we say that everything LAKE is worth the price tag.

Valentine’s Day with Lake Pajamas

I* In case you missed my love letter to LAKE at Christmas time *

I am just absolutely swooooooning over the LAKE Pajamas Valentine’s Day Collection! The lips and the hearts are just too adorable. LAKE’s super soft PIMA Cotton pjs have become a staple in our house ever since my best friend gave me a pair during pregnancy! We wore them over Christmas as a family (even John had them) and I just think their mommy and me sets too sweet.

I went for the Poplin nightgown for this collection since I have a good number of the sets and it is breathable and cooling and chic. Honestly, it is kind of out of character for me but my style has changed since Olive was born! I’m a sap. I mean, the kisses! It comes in the heart print, too, and both come with matching sets for the little ones. Cath even got the kisses for Phoenix too and I gotta say they are ADORABLE for little boys.

Because I have a little baby Olive napping in my arms right now, I will keep it short and sweet but trust me when I say that any purchase from LAKE is money well spent. Every pair I have is worth the price!

TCP Favorite: Lake Pajamas

Lake Pajamas became an instant favorite of ours this year!

TIS THE SEASON! PAJAMA SEASON.

We have been highlighting gift ideas that we will be gifting / would love to give this year. Like the things we actually have and love. LAKE PAJAMAS are DEFINITELY on that list. We fell in love with LAKE’s Pima Cotton pajamas earlier this year and haven’t looked back. They are BEYOND soft.

I wore them throughout my pregnancy, they have nursing friendly options now, they carried us through the summer and now we are loving their holiday collection! They have pajamas for the whole family. Phoenix and Olive have little matching sets and we are gonna grab a couple of pairs for our husbands this year.
