WE DID IT AGAIN! We showed up to shoot and when we went to get changed, we came out of the bathroom stalls to see that we were both rocking feather accent pieces. I was wearing a pair of dark green jeans with button & feather hem detail and Cath had the cooooolest piece on. We couldn’t help but laugh at ourselves, again. It has really just become expected at this point for us to be matching, twinning or coordinating in some sort of way – but with our own personal style twists. This weekend was no exception!

TCP Picks: Our lululemon Favorites
Starting the New Year off right with lululemon : The Sweat Life.
REAL TALK: Watching Catherine keep up with her work out routine throughout her pregnancy has been nothing short of inspiring. Add it to the list of things that have thoroughly impressed me over the past 6 months!
AND, over these last few months I have been saying I need to get in the gym with her and tbh, I never followed through. However, when January rolled around and I finally got a smart watch to track my steps and saw the embarrassing results, I knew I had to do something. So, I joined Crunch Fitness so that I could work out with Cathy and have her help to keep me accountable.
Naturally, I needed to upgrade my work out gear as well. ENTER: lululemon. They really do have the best of the best when it comes to, well, everything. {Just ask my Dad, he’s lululemon’s biggest fan}.
How I Upgraded my Life in 30 Days with Dr. Joe Dispenza
As seen on cathclaire.com
I have been a student of all things personal development since 2011. This obsession was sparked when the *hit* book The Secret by Rhonda Byrnes came out (see more about my feelings on The Secret here) and hasn’t stopped since. The Secret cracked open a part of me that I didn’t even know existed and ever since that book, I have been reading voraciously/watching videos on Youtubeabout anything and everything to do with quantum physics, the law of attraction, and beyond. It can get kinda esoteric and weird, in the best way.

oh, 2019.
You were quite eventful! I think it is safe to say that 2019 was a year that we will never forget. Aside from Catherine being pregnant (which of course is absolutely life changing), we grew a lot as a duo! We worked with some great brands, found some great pieces to add to our wardrobes, read a lot, and wrote a lot.
We hope that you have learned a little something from us on here this year and that we have inspired you to live your very best life. We hope you have learned to love quality over quantity, and appreciate the power of manifestation and positivity. Drop a comment and let us know how you’ve learned from us this year – we always love to hear it 🙂
We have some lofty goals and exciting things planned for 2020, and we can’t wait to share it all with you. Make sure you subscribe to our email list so you don’t miss ANYTHING!
For now, here are a few of our favorite photos from this year! Shout out to Kaytee, Kenzi & Halle for capturing these moments <3

HERE’S TO 2020! xx Reb & Cath
A Day with Common House Charlottesville
Common House is what we would call an inclusive – not exclusive – social club and a great place for creatives to commune, eat delicious food, do inspiring work, and drink amazing cocktails. I think it’s pretty obvious that The Crystal Press can’t wait to have Common House in Richmond, Va!
The two of us (in case you are new here, we are Cathclaire & Rebecca Piersol) had a girls day this weekend in Charlottesville with Common House and Need Supply. We have been cherishing these days as a twosome (lol, it’s like we are married or something) before Baby S arrives in Feb and when The Crystal Press got invited to check out Common House and the Need Supply Holiday pop up – we seized the opportunity!

You guys are always asking us what our current faves are and we have a good lineup of current obsessions for you today. From the MOST comfortable boot to our go-to sunglasses, scroll on to read what we have been loving lately!
Comfortiva Shoes – The name says it all. These are truly the most comfortable shoes we own, now! Comfortiva is dedicated to making shoes that are not only stylish and good looking, but also truly comfortable. They have a variety of styles of boots, booties, wedges and sandals – something for everyone. Catherine chose the Cantara in Caramel and I love how she styled them with the all black look! I think I can speak for her when I say that this far into her pregnancy, all she really wants is comfort and these shoes bring it!
(more…)NYE Looks: LBDs, Metallics & Sequins
Christmas is just over a week away, EEK! and New Years Eve is just over two weeks away, EEK! Whether you have plans to hit the town, or a simple dinner party with close friends, you still gotta have the perfect NYE look. We’ve had a not so surprising amount of NYE inspired looks over the years, as we tend to have two styles: simple & extra. If we aren’t sporting a casual, all black and neutral look, we are getting decked out in sequins. So we’ve rounded up a few of our style picks to help you get dressed for New Years.

Kevin and I are over the moon to announce that we are having a baby BOY in February. I’ll be honest, for the first few weeks – I 100% thought it was a girl and so did it everyone in my family. It was a huge surprise when the doctor told us we were having a boy, albeit a good one.
I get tears in my eyes when I see how FREAKING cute baby boy clothes are. Have you guys seen what is available on Zara, H&M and Gucci (obvi)? The options are endless. Let’s hope this little guy is cooperative in my dressing and fashion obsession!
I think God knew what he was doing when he made Baby S a boy. I grew up with 7 younger brothers – yes changing diapers and babysitting them – so the fact that Baby S is a boy eases me into this motherhood thing nicely. Let’s hope, at least. And let’s also hope that this baby gets my husbands good looks. <3
PS Thank you all for all of your tips and help on Instagram lately. From the best maternity leggings to help with picking strollers, your tips have been LIFE SAVERS.

The Crystal Press Picks: Faux Fur & $1000 Amazon Giveaway!
AND YET AGAIN, we are back talking about one of our favorite things : Faux Fur! I feel like I was just writing about faux fur. *cue quintessential comment about time flying by* In any case, this is a trend that we can see ourselves rocking, well, forever, so each year we love to see what our favorite retailers have to offer when it comes to the seasons newest styles.
Cath scowered some of our faves retailers : ASOS, Nasty Gal, Urban Outfitters & Shopbop to find the best this year has to offer! From a simple black hooded number (the one I already ordered and love), to fun and funky patterns, there are all kinds of great options at a variety of price points out there! If you are looking for an investment piece that will last you for years to come, there are some great options out there if you are willing to spend a little more and of course, if you just want something new this year there are plenty of affordable pieces.

For as comfortable as I have always been in front of the camera, and on stage, and just as a lover of attention – I am sometimes awkward when it comes to in person interactions. The majority of the time, my travel photos are taken by John (or Catherine if I’m with her) because it just seems easier, even if they are just on my iPhone or a point-and-shoot! BUT, I have decided that I want to make an effort when I travel to meet and work with local creatives, because it really enhances my travel experience and I realized that working with professional photographers really helps to get my creative juices flowing. My two experiences doing this were AWESOME and I am writing this here, to remind myself (and encourage you) to keep doing so!
