Yes, I am a serial outfit repeater but I do it in the name of love.
Trend Alert: Stripes
One could argue that stripes never go out of style and we would certainly not disagree. However, these days we are seeing them everywhere. From the runway to the street, stripes are alive and well. So jump on the bandwagon or update your collection today! It’s no shocker that most of our favorite pieces are black and white but don’t be afraid to step out of the box.
We are especially digging this top (and its from Forever 21!) and this jumper would be so amazing leading into spring and summer!

Pop of Color
For my birthday this year (the day after Christmas), John got me a bike! Its a turquoise cruiser and it is absolutely perfect for me. One of my favorite things growing up was riding bikes at the beach during our family vacations and around the neighborhood where I grew up. This past summer when we were at the beach John and I had such fun biking to and from the beach and all around Seaside and Watercolor and I can’t remember if I actually told him it would be fun to do it at home or if he could just tell. Either way, Johnny for the win. (more…)
Elevated Denim
My fiancè prefers that I wear white denim over my constant “the darker the denim the better” approach to my daily attire.
When I scored these black and white striped beauts from ASOS, I immediately recognized them as a wearable compromise in skinny jean form. Cue the Maroon 5 “She Will Be Loved” earworm – It’s not always rainbows and butterflies, It’s compromise that moves us along. Am I the only one who can’t say the word compromise without thinking of this song?
Happy Valentine’s!
Happy Valentine’s, Galentine’s, Treat Yo’ Self Day etc…. We are always looking for reasons to celebrate so for this one we are going to go with ‘Treat Yo’ Self’ and might be taking our own advice today as well. Keep up the New Year, New You motto with some fun, girly products. A few suggestions below: (more…)
Black + White Basics
Some people prepare for spring with florals and patterns, but we like to have a tendency to stick to the basics all year ’round. Nothing against colors and prints, of course, but you cant go wrong with black and white. It is a given that our over-packed suitcases for NYFW are full of our fave monochromatic looks. Here are a few of our favorite *mostly affordable* pieces right now! (more…)
Something Old, Something New
With Catherine and my sister getting married in the next few months, I guess you could say I’ve always got wedding on ze brain. I usually have so much trouble coming up with titles for my post but as soon as I put on this outfit, I was immediately inspired. The only thing this look is missing is the Something Borrowed but that’s only because John took these photos and not Catherine. If it had been Cath, I would definitely have added something from her closet / jewelry collection / lip color choices to round out the look. (more…)
Twinning in Tart
As a fashion blogging duo, Rebecca and I don’t take nearly enough advantage of the fact that twinning is trending. This Tart faux fur proves to be the perfect opportunity for us to step up our twinning game and we had a helluva a time using this as an excuse to wear the same thing. Rebecca wore this coat to the Cava preview dinner at Whisk on Monday and she got endless compliments. Anytime either one of us is wearing this coat, not only does it keep us warm but it attracts good vibes like no other!
Spotlight on: Maven Made
We have said it before, but we will say it again >> Richmond is home to so many amazing local artists, vendors and shops. One of our favorites in town is Maven Made – an all natural skincare + wellness brand run by Richmond girl boss Bethany. I have been trying out the three products that she shared with us and I am obsessed. We have tried countless facial serums and rosewater facial sprays over the years – as they are products we cannot live without- and I can honestly say that her Rosewater Wondermist and Facial Serum are the best of the best. The addition of lavender in the Rosewater facial mist is such a great added bonus, and is so incredibly refreshing! I think its safe to say I’m hooked. Additionally, as a migraine sufferer, the headache and tension remedy has been a serious blessing. I don’t leave home without it!

New Year, New You
This post was sponsored by Babbleboxx but all opinions are our own.A month into 2017 and we are still feeling very gung-ho and enthusiastic about the whole “New Year, New You” mantra. Dedicating more time to ourselves, meditating, being more mindful, reading new books and trying out new products are all part of said mantra. Luckily for us, we have each other to lean on, we are constantly encouraging one another on long work days and we know we’ve got a partner in this-whole-thing-called-life. (more…)
