White Blouses for Fall under $50

We got so many compliments on these Forever 21 blouses the other night at the Graduate Hotel rooftop event so naturally, we wanted to share it with you! It’s barely $23, so a SERIOUS deal. I always tell Catherine that she is sooo good at Forever 21. Y’all know what I mean, right? She always finds the best stuff and I end up wandering around aimlessly and leaving empty handed. Well, not this time because we went shopping together! She picked out this piece almost immediately, and it was an instant hit. (more…)

In this case, my mom gave me this Alice + Olivia dress that she initially bought to wear for my sister’s wedding. We all love drooling over celeb weddings, the wedding dress, and our best friend’s wedding photos. The love between two people and the style choices that a couple decides on for their wedding day are the most intriguing to me when it clearly reflects their personal style. From the wedding dress to the groom’s attire, I love it all! You know, those Pinterest wedding photos that you can’t stop oohing and ahhing over or save fast enough to your “Wedding Inspiration” board – we all do it.

I say all of this to reveal that I am obsessed with seeing people’s style choices for just about any occasion or event, especially weddings. When I see a wedding album, I always wonder to myself if the bride values being fashion forward over timeless, vintage over trendy? While a wedding is an intimate event (coming from that bride that snap-chatted arguably too many times during her wedding day), it is always a beautifully romantic spectacle. I am so excited to share with you guys my wedding photos from my big day to the love of my life, Kevin James. To be honest, I have been drooling over Kaytee Lauren’s work on this special day (and this sequin wedding dress!) and I am determined to believe it’s not just because it is my own wedding day.

I ordered this Jenny Packham sequin gown online and it is the only wedding dress I tried on during my search. This designer is extra special to me because Jenny Packham was the first fashion show that Rebecca and I sat front row at during NYFW a couple of seasons ago. (more…)

What We’re Packing for Fashion Week: Tees + Metallics

We have found it is easiest when packing for NYFW to have a good strategy. Otherwise it is midnight the day before you leave and you are staring in your closet like ‘where the heck do I even start?’ Each season we try to stick with a theme and expand on it. Sure, we all want to stand out to street style photogs, but that doesn’t mean you have to do anything too over the top! This year, Cath is leaning towards metallics and I am leaning towards graphic tees and straight up, basic black. A Weekend on Shelter Island

Every time John and I go on vacation, I bring our TCP Nikon, pack outfits and fully intend on shooting multiple looks, locations and scenery. However, I always end up forgetting or choosing not to do that and instead fully enjoy vacation. Because, really that is what vacation is all about. Well guys, I say this every year but how the heck is it already the end of summer! Where did the time go? Between an absolutely crazy spring of weddings on weddings then kicking off summer with my sister’s wedding, I thought once that was all over it was going to be the one summer to go by slowly, savoring each moment. Boyyyy was I wrong. What did I even do all summer? Sure, there were Busch Gardens trips and plenty of pool days but seriously, what happened! Now it is almost fall, John went back to school today and I have a laundry list of things to do around the house, for ze blog and of course preparing for NYFW.
