How To Style Anine Bing Graphic Tees for Spring

anine bing tshirt

Anine Bing t-shirts have been a staple in my wardrobe for years! I am a sucker for designer t-shirts,  and pride myself on being able to find Gucci & Saint Laurent tees secondhand at “reasonable” prices, but when it comes for best bang for your buck, Anine Bing takes the cake. The quality is as good, if not better than luxury designer tees and the price can’t be beat! These tees are $99 and will LAST.  I have had the one shown in these photos for almost two years and it has seen some major wear. But it is in excellent condition!

Honestly, I wear graphic tees most days of the week, year round so investing in quality pieces is absolutely necessary.  I am about to add a few more of these styles to my cart & continue to grow my collection and I highly suggest you do the same if you are a t-shirt addict like me.  SHOP my picks below & keep scrolling to see my favorite ways to style the tees for spring. From afternoon strolls, to chillin around the house, to running errands and heading out for dinner with your girls, I’ve got you covered with plenty of pieces to pair with the Anine Bing Graphic Tees.

Spotlight On: Biker Shorts

this post about biker shorts was originally written in 2019 but has been updated with current picks && we assure you, we love biker shorts as much as ever.

BIKER SHORTS THE CRYSTAL PRESS

IT’S SUMMER. IT’S HOT. MUST DRESS ACCORDINGLY.

As I started writing this post, my immediate thought was: have I already written a post about biker shorts? The answer is: probably (I didn’t go all the way back in the archives, and maybe I’m thinking ab a post over on RP). And guess what? THAT’S OK. It is basically impossible to create 100% new content everyday because that’s just not how life works. Sometimes we wear the same things more than once. Sometimes we want to write about/complain about the weather each season and there are only four seasons, folks so things are going to get repetitive.

SO. Here we have it: biker shorts! LOVE EM. Catherine jumped on the train sometime last summer and it took me until this spring to get a pair myself.

{wait- actually that’s not true. I tried to order some on Amazon last fall and they weren’t tight on my chicken legs so they were basically just cotton shorts LOL. }

I’ve shown y’all the “NOPE” ones that I got this spring && this lace trimmed pair have seen some major wear already. I took them to Miami & included them in an IG TV video over on my personal channel.

BIKER SHORTS THE CRYSTAL PRESS

I was a little nervous at first about wearing biker shorts, because of my seriously long legs. I have a tendency to dress conservatively and I thought I might be showing a little too much butt & legs in these shorts. However, I found a pair that was justtttt long enough, and I just decided to own it!

What are your thoughts on biker shorts? Trendy in the moment or must-have?

Eminence Organic Skin Care at Scents of Serenity

Eminence products are located at Green Spas all around the world, including local Richmond Spa, Scents of Serenity.

the crystal press eminence organics

As you guys probably saw on instagram, we are excited to be ambassadors for our local spa Scents of Serenity this year! Each month, we get to look forward to trying out their various services to tell you guys all about them. Additionally, we have been trying out lots of Eminence Organics Skincare products, which they use extensively at the spa.

Eminence Organics is a fully green company, whose products are made using the best, natural, Biodynamic ingredients. None of the bad stuff. All of the good stuff. They’ve got healing properties from vitamins that only nature can produce. When you use the Strawberry Rhubarb face mask, it actually has pieces of fruit in it. That’s how you know its truly organic. Plus, the smell! So fresh and so clean (I had to).

Another thing that we love about Eminence is that they plant a tree for every product sold and thanks to their collaborations with spas like Scents of Serenity they have planted 17 million trees so far. Their Forest of the Future program helps to support communities in developing nations, and we love it when a company has heart and is passionate about helping others.

What Was in My Hospital Bag

Packing my hospital bag for the first time was overwhelming to say the least. Here are the products I packed and USED during my hospital stay when I had Phoenix. I hope it helps your hospital bag packing feel less overwhelming <3

I one hundred percent overpacked for the hospital because even though I had heard birth stories etc, I still didn’t know what to expect with having a baby. I did, however, know that I would want to feel as luxurious as possible while at the hospital aka I was going to do my darndest to turn that hospital room into the Four Seasons.

Summer Style Edit: Dreamy Dresses

here is your big summer style round up: the dreamy dress edition

We are starting to work on some other exciting projects on The Crystal Press, and aren’t always able to bring you new and different outfits each week, because, that’s a lot. So, instead we are going to be bringing you our style blog posts per season, with a few big blog posts, where you can find all the optoins you need for each seasons best pieces!

SO, after getting tons of responses from you guys on this Free People dress that I wore in Key West, I decided to kick off the summer style edit with dreamy dresses. Perfect for vacay or the backyard, we all love a good flowy dress. Summer is a time where I rarely stray into fun and funky pieces so putting together this dress round up was super fun and I even got a few for myself. (Excited for this H&M number to come!)

THE Summer Shoe: Marc Fisher Espadrilles

national espadrille day may have come and gone but we’re ready for another summer in our favorite marc fisher shoes.

the crystal press marc fisher espadrilles

honestly, it feels like a few days ago that I woke up one quaratine morning to remember that it was National Espadrille Day, and that led to my first set of tripod photos. But, alas, it was a whole year ago. These photos ended up being some of my favorites, because we were a month into lock down and I finally felt inspired again! They might look like nothing special, and my deck was dirty and the look is simple but it was a bright day during those dark days.

I was also excited about my first pair of Marc Fisher Espadrilles but at the same time bummed that we had to spend our spring at home. Y’all know that Marc Fisher makes my favorite boots, but I had yet to snag one of their famous pairs of summer shoes. I had certainly been eyeing them on all my blogger friends, and well, honestly, everyone. I just had not pulled the trigger yet myself, and was thrilled that they sent me a pair for the occasion last year.

Fast forward to this year and I was thrilled to add a new pair to my collection (the heels! amazing!) and I am honestly thinking about adding Cath’s pair of Velia slides to my closet too. They are just tooooo perfect for every single summer occasion! And, so far, I have yet to meet a pair of Marc Fisher shoes that aren’t super comfortable. Wins all around.

Spotlight on: Jumpsuits for Spring

it’s that time of year again! living in comfy, stylish jumpsuits.

the crystal press jumpsuits

I took these photos last year during quarantine, and wow, it feels surreal to revisit them almost a year later. These were my second attempt with my trusty best friend – tripod and they hold a special place in my heart. I literally just set the self timer and started dancing on my back deck. Pollen in my hair and all. It was extremely cathartic at the time, getting outside and creating. I remember the feeling all too well! (read my musings from the time on sartorial meanderings here.)

Style Edit for Spring & Summer Brides-To-Be

white dresses for brides

I was helping my sister-in-law find some dresses, suits and white pieces to wear on her bachelorette and all of a sudden I had rounded up almost 30 pieces, so here we are! I soooo miss planning for all things wedding related. The Crystal Press was only a few months old when I got married, so I didn’t get to chronicle the whole process for myself here. When Catherine got married, she did things a little less traditional and I’m not even sure if she wore anything white on her bach. *edit, I looked, she did, once* So, give me a reason to help out a bride-to-be and I’m THERE.

Creative First Birthday Party Decor: DIY Collage Wall & Silver Accents

Phoenix’s first birthday party was one for the books and some of my favorite memories TO DATE. I kept the party decor minimal with a simple silver colored theme and made the centerpiece a wall of printed out photos of our family over the past year. The collage wall was a BIG hit and I highly recommend making your own for your next birthday party!

the crystal press first birthday party collage wall

Like most parents, Phoenix’s first birthday was SUCH an emotional day for me.

It’s like I could feel the time passing in every cell of my body while wishing it would stand still for just a few moments.

I know, I know in my rational mind – that would be hella weird if time actually stood still. It feels like just yesterday I was writing his birth story!

His first birthday made his growing up absolutely undeniable and while I am enjoying every stage, I am also trying to make sure the moments don’t pass me by! Enter: the collage wall.
