every gal needs a lug sole chealsea boot for fall (or any season!)
You guys know that Marc Fisher makes some of our very favorite shoes. From my signature white combat boots that have made frequent appearances over the years, to their cult classic espadrilles – they simply make the best.
When I saw this white pair on the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale I knew I had to have them! My old faithful boots will still get a lot of play but the heel is a bit higher, and I needed something for more everyday wear.
national espadrille day may have come and gone but we’re ready for another summer in our favorite marc fisher shoes.
honestly, it feels like a few days ago that I woke up one quaratine morning to remember that it was National Espadrille Day, and that led to my first set of tripod photos. But, alas, it was a whole year ago. These photos ended up being some of my favorites, because we were a month into lock down and I finally felt inspired again! They might look like nothing special, and my deck was dirty and the look is simple but it was a bright day during those dark days.
I was also excited about my first pair of Marc Fisher Espadrilles but at the same time bummed that we had to spend our spring at home. Y’all know that Marc Fisher makes my favorite boots, but I had yet to snag one of their famous pairs of summer shoes. I had certainly been eyeing them on all my blogger friends, and well, honestly, everyone. I just had not pulled the trigger yet myself, and was thrilled that they sent me a pair for the occasion last year.
Fast forward to this year and I was thrilled to add a new pair to my collection (the heels! amazing!) and I am honestly thinking about adding Cath’s pair of Velia slides to my closet too. They are just tooooo perfect for every single summer occasion! And, so far, I have yet to meet a pair of Marc Fisher shoes that aren’t super comfortable. Wins all around.
You guys know we love Marc Fisher around here and they are currently running their Friends & Family Sale which means 25% off everything! This is a great time to stock up on a new pair of booties for the season. Their boots are honestly my favorite affordable pair on the market and I own at least 5. HIGHLY recommend if you are in the market for a new pair of everyday boots.
Sure, our spring is looking a little different this year, but like we have all been saying, life must go on! We must get dressed everyday. We must continue to create and we must continue to treat ourselves with the utmost care! This quarantine will end eventually and we will all get dressed up in our favorite pieces and hit the town. You want to be ready when the time comes right?
I hope not. I have shared dozens of instagrams and a hand full of posts here on the blog featuring my white Marc Fisher combat boots. I got them in the fall of 2018 and they have been a staple in my wardrobe ever since. I paid full price at the time {$250} and wondered if my splurge would be worth it. But OH BOY WAS IT. They are my go-to boot when I want to add a little zing to my look. I think its the white with the black contrast laces that really make everything POP.
Over the past year and a half my Marc Fisher boot collection has grown to include a pair of flat, knee high boots, a pair of snake skin combat boots & most recently, a maroon patent leather pair. The other thing? They’re all comfortable. They don’t need any breaking in and not a single pair has given be blisters after first wear – which I gotta say, is hard to find! Marc Fisher makes so many great boots and they really do have something for everyone. Whether you want a heeled, knee high statement boot or just an everyday staple, they’ve got something for you.
I’ve rounded up some of my favorite photos for this post, showcasing the versatility of the boots. I am sharing 16 great pairs of boots (ON SALE!) below.
Love these white gucci tights? So do we! Full blogpost on it here.
This Free People Marina Dress was by far one of my best sellers last year and I am thrilled that they restocked it this summer!
no, you aren’t seeing things, there isn’t a baby bump here, these photos are from last summer and just never made into a full blog post ( just a lil web story ).
This mini dress is such a fun piece to have in your closet for literally any occasion this spring or summer! It comes in 5 colors and has the most fun open-back / tie design. It won’t break the bank, coming in well under $100, and trust me, you will be reaching for it for lunch with the girls, baby showers, date night and everything in between.
Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. You can see us wearing white boots all year round.
*this post was written in October 2020, but has been updated with recent picks for the season.
As I sit down to write this I am thinking * have I already written this blog post? *
This isn’t the first time this thought has crossed my mind and for good reason. While different styles and trends come and go each year, there are plenty of things that remain tried and true favorites for the both of us. Boots, and specifically white boots for the purpose of this list are staples in our closets year round! (See us both wearing different pairs of white boots earlier this year).
Catherine has been rocking the white boots for years now (see her initial post here), and they always take her looks to the next level. They catch your eye unlike any other style of shoe, if you ask me. Something about the white, when paired with darker leggings or tights, or with shorts can be super striking!
this $30 amazon dress is the perfect addition to any closet
YEP, YOU READ THAT RIGHT. $30. I first shared my love for this dress over on my personal blog, Sartorial Meanderings, at the end of summer. And whaddya know, I just couldn’t resist getting it in another color! Ever since I saw my girl Laura Leigh of Louella Reese wearing the blue version, I knew I would add it to my wardrobe eventually! I have gotten more compliments when wearing the blue version than I have on any piece in a while. Who knew that a simple $30 dress could end up being one of the cornerstones of my fall wardrobe.
I won’t go on and on about it too much, but just trust me, y’all. It comes in like 15 color and print combos, is the perfect midi length, lightweight and comfortable, perfect for layering and can be dressed up or down! Style it with a cardigan in the fall or sandals during the summer. I don’t try and force purchases on you guys *that* often (hehehe), but I’m really pushing you on this one here! Anyways, let’s get to how I styled it this time.

I have been sharing some of my favorite fall outfit ideas over on my personal blog, but this look is just too good not to share here too! (ICYMI here are the first two posts: Amazon Dress & Marc Fisher Boots // Spanx, Sweater, Boots) I have to admit, I was wary about the paper bag faux leather shorts trend but decided to give it a shot. When I saw that J.ING had a pair, I knew I had to try them and create a fun look around the trendy piece.
*the shorts pictured are now sold out but here are similar styles*
You guys know I’m a big fan of J.ING ever since I started working with them last year and trust them for my elevated basics. All of their pieces feel like luxury items without the designer prices and you gotta appreciate that. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised when I tried the shorts on with my latest J.ING blouse. I felt a little funny at first, tbh, but I loved how they looked. I wanted to show off the top of the shorts so I decided to wear the blouse unbuttoned and a favorite tank top. To make the outfit even more interesting, I paired the J.ING pieces with these croc inspired Nine West boots to give the look some dimension. (more…)
