Last summer, I told you guys that I was beginning my adventure with the Marie Kondo method – aka trying to clean up my living space. It is almost a year later and I can tell you that the adventure is just that, an long adventure, but I am finally moving into the phase that involves changing up my art! I had so much fun scouring the minted website filling up my cart with way too many things, narrowing it down, then filling it up again. The decision between which prints was harder than I anticipated because minted is flooded with so many talented, independent artists but the process was so enjoyable!
I applied the Marie Kondo school of thought when picking out my art with Minted. She stresses how important it is to only keep things in your living space that spark joy and I wanted to follow this same rule for this process.. First things first, I had to get a photograph that embodied what I love about California. There were so many beautiful photographs of the golden state to pick from and while it wasn’t an easy decision to narrow down, I am very happy with the black and white one called “Ocean Avenue” that I ended up with. Next, I wanted to get a print that portrayed the power of mindset. I love the painting of the three sets of eyes called “Soul Seeing” because it reminds me that what we choose to see has a huge impact on our everyday life. Lastly, I wanted a print that could bring me back to what The Crystal Press is all about, like I discussed in my last post here, and that is what the black geometric painting “Sable Song” represents to me!
All in all, I had a wonderful experience picking out art from Minted and highly suggest it if you are looking for a way to spruce up your living space without making drastic changes. They have all kinds of frames and print sizes that you cannot go wrong and are bound to find something perfect for you!
Stay tuned for how Rebecca spruced up her new house with prints from Minted and in the meantime, here are the links to my minted pieces and a couple of my other faves!
