If you’ve been following along with us for a while, you know that The Homestead is my most favorite place. (If you are a new TCP follower, I got married there a year and a half ago and have been vacationing there for most of my life). Last year when John and I went in December we recognized how absolutely magical it can be at Christmastime and lucky for us we were able to convince my parents to spend the holiday itself there this year.
From the festive decorations in the Great Hall to the most amazing Christmas Eve dinner at Jefferson’s Restaurant, each and every detail of the trip was exactly what I had hoped for. I’ve got to admit that spending Christmas Eve at the spa, relaxing in the Hot Springs and spending time in the Aqua Thermal Suite really set the bar high for for years to come.
PS. How awesome is that bag? I met the girl behind Bonita Pina in Charlotte and was so drawn to her stuff because of its origins in Guatemala! My birthday happens to be the day after Christmas and it was truly a dream come true to wake up at The Homestead and have my birthday celebrations at the best breakfast in ze world in the Main Dining Room. How awesome is this Rebecca Minkoff backpack? Mr. Crystal Press did well this year!
